News Associates to host week-long free journalism conference JournoFest

JournoFest is back with a twist for 2022.

Every year News Associates hosts a free journalism conference exclusive to our trainees, jam-packed with all-star guests from across the industry.

Previous keynote speakers include Daily Mirror political editor Pippa Crerar, Sky News presenter Dermot Murnaghan, Financial Times data editor Martin Stabe, The Times chief reporter Sean O’Neill, BBC News sports editor Dan Roan, The Times podcast host Manveen Rana, and many, many more.

This year JournoFest is going to be bigger, better and more accessible than ever – with most events open to everyone!

SAVE THE DATE(S)

  • Wednesday May 11, 6pm-9pm – launch and networking event with special guests, including a panel on Why journalism is more important than ever. The launch night is an in-person and live streamed event, exclusive for News Associates trainees.

The below speaker sessions will all be held remotely on Zoom, and are free and open to anyone!

  • Thursday May 12, 6:30pm-8pm – From the front line: reporting on hostile environments (panel)
  • Saturday May 14, 12pm-2pm – one-to-one CV clinic
  • Saturday May 14, 2:30pm-3:30pm – getting into journalism Q&A with News Associates
  • Monday May 16, 6:30pm-8pm panel – More than a game: why sports journalism matters (panel)
  • Tuesday May 17, 6:30pm-8pm panel – Thriving in a digital landscape: telling stories with a difference (panel)
