Award-winning sports content creators host Q&A for SJA Academy members
The Sports Journalists’ Association and News Associates are delighted to be hosting a Q&A with two award-winning sports content creators for SJA Academy members.
Broadcast journalist and content creator Miles Addy and The Long Play founder Jordan Macauley will be chatting candidly on Monday July 28, 7pm-8:15pm, on Zoom.
Founder and director of The Content Club, Miles won Content Creator of the Year at the Sports Journalists’ Association 2024 British Sports Journalism Awards, while The Content Club was shortlisted for Agency of the Year.
The Content Club is a video community for small businesses who want to master their videos, grow their business, and get customers.

In 2020, Miles was named ‘one to watch’ by the Football Black List and won a ‘media’ award in 2023.
Miles’s passion took him centre stage at every major football event in 2024, including the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast and EURO 2024 in Germany, the Ballon d’Or in Paris and he covered every Premier League weekend for the 24/25 season.
Miles has worked with organisations including the BBC, Reuters and CheekySport and has collaborated with likes of the Raheem Sterling Foundation, Fanatics and EA Sport.
You might also recognise him from presenting with Bleacher Report, LiveScore and The Ligue 1 Show.
Jordan won YouTube newcomer at the Sports Journalists’ Association 2024 British Sports Journalism Awards, with The Long Play taking silver in the YouTube Show category.
The Long Play, launched in 2022 on Substack and on YouTube in 2024, breaks down the business in sport in the UK and EU on digital platforms (YouTube, Instagram, weekly newsletter).
As it stands (July 4, 2025), The Long Play has 99.8K subscribers and 3,989,909 views on YouTube and 13.8K on Instagram.
The highest performing videos include ‘How Footballers Get Paid’ and ‘The Premier League is Strangling the English Football Pyramid’.

Jordan is on a mission to make the average football fan 1% more informed.
With a background in sales, he aims to fill the gap in the market for people understanding the behind the scenes of football.
