Director of Training Richard Parsons is a former Editor of the Buckinghamshire Advertiser, the Uxbridge Gazette series and later Editor-in-Chief of the Surrey Herald, Informer and Leader series.
Under his editorship, titles he worked on were nominated for the prestigious Press Gazette Awards and he takes pride in having given a first job to countless journalists now working on national newspapers, both as reporters and editors.
Richard has also worked in Fleet Street on PA News, the Daily Mail, the Mail On Sunday and the Sunday Express.
He sits on the NCTJ's journalism board and has been at the forefront of developing the journalism syllabus across all accredited centres.
