News Associates named UK’s number one NCTJ journalism school for fifth straight year
News Associates is officially the number one NCTJ journalism school in the UK for the fifth straight year.
News Associates London did the double – taking home the awards for the top independent fast-track course and the number one course overall – at the annual NCTJ Awards for Excellence.
The awards were presented by Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth – who praised the impressive 94% gold-standard pass rate of our sports journalism course in London – at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.

News Associates graduate Jonathan Harding (Racing Post) was named Trainee Sports Journalist of the Year 2019.
Elsewhere, three News Associates graduates were shortlisted for NCTJ Student Journalist of the Year 2019 – Molly Millar (Thomson Reuters Foundation), Jen Tombs (Metro) and Cormac Connelly-Smith (Mail +) .
And Ella Jerman (Sportsbeat) was commended for Student Sports Journalist of the Year.
